The specific and primary purpose of the fsa is to serve as the formal link between ucla lab school families and the school. the fsa organizes fundraising and community building events, provides enrichment support for school programs, and hosts community service activities throughout the school year. ucla lab school uses the supplemental funds raised by the fsa to augment the educational program concerts and other school programs. the beneficial outcome of this link is the enhancement and solidification of the ucla lab school community.

Southern california academy of sciences promotes science through the fellowship of professional scientists and support of student science programs it's memberships, the annual meeting, publication of the bulletin, student research grants, student performance awards, and it's jr academy research program.

The mission of insideout writers is to reduce the juvenile recidivism rate by providing a range of services that evolves to meet the needs of currently and formerly incarcerated youth and young adults. using creative writing as a catalyst for personal transformation, these young people are empowered with the knowledge and skills necessary to successfully re-integrate into our communities, becoming advocates for their future.

At step up, we offer in person after school and virtual summer mentoring programs for high school girls. in addition, we offer year round virtual mentoring programs for young women ages 18-29. all girls and young women who participate in our programs come from communities with limitied resources or are facing systemic barriers. with the support of our programs and the mentoring connections we provide, they become confident, connected and career ready so that they can join the next generation of women leaders. 100% of step up participants have access to multiple mentors.
